This remarkable find is a piece of history. Modelled in 22ct gold, this ring looks to have been a custom project possibly after the loss of a loved one. The ring features two 22ct wedding bands, one dating to 1851, and the other to 1859, complete with Queen Victoria's hallmarks. These bands have been joined together with a locket front attached, keeping enclosed a lock of hair.
Hair was often using in jewellery during the Georgian and Victorian pieces as a sign of remembering a loved one.
This historic ring would make a superb addition to any mourning jewellery lovers collection.

CONDITION
This historic ring remains in great condition for its age. Being over 170 years old, the ring does have some age related patina and wear; however, there is nothing significant to note of. The ring has been well made, the hallmarks are easy to read, and the glass only has some light surface wear with no chips or scratches. Overall this antique ring is a superb find which deserves to be loved and cherished again.

All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
