This collectable Antique Butterfly Brooch features many coloured Paste stones, set in Silver dating to the Victorian period, circa.1890. The pin is hallmarked for 900 silver and features a hinged opening on the wings.
Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian era.
Paste is a special type of hand cut glass which has been used since the 18th century to replicate gemstones.

This antique paste butterfly brooch remains in great antique condition. The Pastes are all secure, free from damage and original; the Silver, which is plated in gold on the reverse, has a graceful patina in keeping with age.

If you require ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £30 for standard sizing. Sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop.
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
